From what I understand, this boat is all composite. They are a very dangerous on there turns and catch in rough water. Aug 6, 2009 · Gulf squid are great, when I was younger chartering out of Sea Ranch at SPI our group liked fresh squid over shrimp, now fishing mostly out of POC, I still get fresh squid when I can off the shrimp boats. it would go fairly skinny & handle the rough shop pretty good, and a dry riding boat. Gulf Coast are not the best boats made, but they are really good boats that will last for a long time. I went looking for a boat and found the Gulf Coast. Both are good boats but I would take the Gulf Coast over the Explorer. I know it won't get where my cat will but I hardly push that cat shallower than a ft of water.
